Micro Laser Welding

Laser Welding

Laser is an acronym for “Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation”

This technology produces a sharply focused beam of hot light that melts a very small area of metal. The laser welding process does not scar or blemish the welding service or create sinks.

There is no distortion or warpage. Since very little heat is generated at the weld point, we can weld within 0.1mm away from the most complicated and intricate machined areas.

Plastool has experience welding a wide range of materials used in plastic moulding , die casting, tooling and precision engineering.

  • Lay a bead as small as 0.05mm
  • Repair slots, pockets, radius contours and angles
  • Repair thin walls with little or no warping
  • Repair part lines edges
  • Build up cylindrical core
